Set of four vintage mid century Fyne Ladye dining chairs designed by Richard Hornby in the 1960's. Made from solid Afromosia, and newly upholstery in a high quality Camira fabric. The comfortable and stylish chairs feature a distinctive angled back rest.
‘Fyne Ladye Furniture of Banbury’ was one of the few quality British makers to use solid wood (most commonly Afromosia) for their pieces in the late 1950s and early 1960s. This set them apart from their competition, offering better quality and more refined pieces. The designer, Richard Hornby, was an accomplished artisan whose simple, elegant, and clean designs were popular with well-off middle-class buyers looking for modern Scandinavian styles that were popular at the time.

Very Good condition. The chairs have been treated with high quality furniture beeswax. the seat pads have been newly upholstered with highly reputable Camira fabric. Some chair frames show moderate signs of wear, but are free from damage and are solid and sturdy.
